Versus Sudoku

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Versus Sudoku app ("Application") for mobile devices, created by Nilesh Kamble ("Service Provider") as a free service, and to the website at thesudokugame.com. The service is provided as is.

This policy is effective as of 18 October 2026.

Information the Application obtains

Registration is not required. The Application does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number, and it does not collect precise location.

Solo puzzles stay on your device.

An online versus match sends the room and the moves needed to run that match to the game server. Seats are labeled Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, and Player 4. Those seats are not tied to an account.

A nearby match stays on the local network. The Application advertises your device's name on that network so other players can find the room, and it can use the camera to scan a room QR code. The camera image is not saved or uploaded. Nearby play does not use your location.

Advertising

The Application shows advertisements through Google AdMob so the game can stay free.

  • A banner can appear while you play.
  • In a solo game, you can choose to watch a video for one extra hint, or for a second chance after you run out of hearts. The reward is given only after the video finishes.
  • A full-screen advertisement can appear between puzzles.

Google and its advertising partners may receive an advertising identifier, an IP address, and device information such as the model, operating system, and language. When you allow tracking, this information is used to show ads that are more relevant to you and to measure those ads. The Application uses the advertising identifier for third-party advertising. It is not linked to an account.

Before ads are requested, the Application asks for consent where Google's User Messaging Platform requires it, including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. It then shows Apple's tracking prompt: "Your data is used to show ads that are more relevant to you."

If you decline consent or tracking, you can keep playing. Ads may be limited or less relevant, and a reward is not given when its video cannot be shown.

You can change these choices later:

  • On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
  • In Google's ad settings.
  • Where the Application shows ad privacy options, you can open that form again.

Google describes what its advertising services collect:

This website

thesudokugame.com uses Google Analytics to understand visits, including pages viewed, an approximate region derived from the IP address, and device type. The site does not ask you to create an account. Google's privacy policy, linked above, covers that collection.

Third parties

The advertising and analytics providers named above receive the information described in those sections, so they can show and measure ads and count visits. The Service Provider does not sell personal information.

Opt-out

You can stop collection by the Application by uninstalling it, using the uninstall process on your device or in the App Store. You can also limit advertising with the controls in the Advertising section.

Children

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Children should never submit personally identifiable information through the Application or the Services. Parents and legal guardians should monitor their children's internet usage and instruct them never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application or the Services without permission. If you believe a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application or the Services, contact theillustrator2001@gmail.com so the necessary steps can be taken. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country. In some countries a parent or guardian may do so on your behalf.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned with safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Application does not keep an account for you. Advertising and analytics data is processed by Google under the policies linked above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider notifies you of changes by publishing the new policy on this page. Check this page regularly. Continued use is approval of the changes.

Your consent

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as set out in this privacy policy, including later versions the Service Provider publishes here.

Questions about privacy while using the Application, or about these practices, can be sent to the Service Provider at theillustrator2001@gmail.com.
